गोंदिया: सध्या सोशल मीडियाचा वापर झपाट्याने वाढला असून, त्याचे फायदे जसे आहेत तसेच काही वेळा त्याचे दुष्परिणामही भोगावे लागतात. एकीकडे सोशल मीडियामुळे एखादा व्यक्ती रातोरात प्रसिद्धीच्या झोतात येतो, तर दुसरीकडे काही विकृत मानसिकतेच्या व्यक्तींमुळे इतरांना मानसिक त्रास व बदनामीला सामोरे जावे लागते. अनेकदा आपण फोटो, व्हिडीओ सोशल मीडियावर शेअर करतो आणि त्यावरील लाईक्स व कॉमेंट्समुळे आनंद घेतो. मात्र, हेच फोटो किंवा व्हिडीओ पुढे गैरप्रकारांसाठी वापरले जाण्याची शक्यता असते, याची जाणीव असणे आवश्यक आहे.
असाच एक प्रकार गोंदिया जिल्ह्यातील तिरोडा तालुक्यातील लाखेगाव येथे समोर आला आहे. एका २५ वर्षीय युवकाने आपल्या गावातील ३२ वर्षीय विवाहित महिलेचा चेहरा दुसऱ्या महिलेच्या अर्धवट उघड्या शरीराशी जोडून अश्लील फोटो तयार केला आणि तो सोशल मीडियावर व्हायरल केला.
या प्रकरणी संबंधित महिलेने तिरोडा पोलिस ठाण्यात तक्रार दाखल केली आहे. तक्रारीनुसार, ती महिला गेल्या सहा महिन्यांपासून इन्स्टाग्राम वापरत होती. 24 मे 2025 रोजी सकाळी 9:30 वाजता, इन्स्टाग्रामवर रील्स पाहताना "अक्षय श्रीनिवास" या नावाच्या अकाऊंटवर तिला तिचा चेहरा असलेला व दुसऱ्या महिलेचे अर्धवट उघडे शरीर असलेला अश्लील फोटो आढळला.
महिलेने तात्काळ पोलिस ठाण्यात गोपनीय चौकशीची मागणी केली. पोलिस तपासात संबंधित अकाऊंटचा मागोवा घेऊन फोटो कोणी तयार केला हे शोधण्यात आले. तपासात आरोपीचे नाव अतुल रमेश डोहळे (वय 25 , रा. लाखेगाव, ता. तिरोडा) असे स्पष्ट झाले.
फोटो व्हायरल झाल्यामुळे महिलेवर मानसिक ताण निर्माण झाला आणि सामाजिक स्तरावर तिला बदनामीला सामोरे जावे लागले. आरोपीची ओळख पटल्यावर पीडित महिलेने आपल्या पतीसह पोलिस ठाण्यात उपस्थित राहून अधिकृत तक्रार दाखल केली. या तक्रारीच्या आधारे तिरोडा पोलिसांनी माहिती तंत्रज्ञान कायदा आणि बदनामीच्या संबंधित कलमान्वये गुन्हा दाखल केला असून, प्रकरणाचा पुढील तपास सुरू आहे.

On one hand, a person can gain overnight fame through social platforms; on the other hand, some with malicious intent use it to harass or defame others. People often share personal photos and videos online, enjoying the likes and comments. However, the same content can be misused, leading to emotional distress and reputational harm. Hence, caution is necessary.
A disturbing case of such misuse has come to light from Lakhegaon village in Tirora Taluka, Gondia district, where a 25-year-old man allegedly created and circulated an obscene photo of a 32-year-old married woman from the same village.
According to the woman’s complaint filed at the Tirora Police Station, she had been using Instagram for the past six months. On May 24, 2025, around 9:30 AM, while watching reels on Instagram, she came across an account named "Akshay Shrinivas", which featured an obscene photo—her face digitally placed on another woman’s partially nude body.
Shocked and distressed, she approached the police and requested a confidential investigation. After a thorough inquiry, police identified the accused as Atul Ramesh Dohale (age 25), resident of Lakhegaon, Tirora Taluka. It was confirmed that he had edited and shared the obscene image online.
The woman suffered mental trauma and social defamation due to the viral image. Once the identity of the accused was confirmed, she, along with her husband, formally lodged a complaint at the police station.
Based on her complaint, the Tirora Police have filed a case under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act and defamation laws. Further investigation is ongoing.
