9 ऑगस्टला चंद्रपूर जिल्ह्यात रात्री पासून पावसाची दमदार सुरुवात झाली होती. चंद्रपूर मनपाने सुद्धा नदीकाठी राहणाऱ्या नागरिकांना सतर्कतेचा इशारा दिला होता, शहरातील बिनबा गेट जवळील चोराला पुलावर इरई नदीच्या पाण्याची पातळी व प्रवाह वाढल्याने पुलावरून पाण्याचा प्रवाह सुरू झाला. पोलिसांनी तात्काळ चोराला-चंद्रपूर मार्ग बंद केला.

On August 9, heavy rains started from night in Chandrapur district. Chandrapur Municipality had also alerted the citizens living along the river, as the water level and flow of the Irai River at Chorala Bridge near Binba Gate in the city increased, water started flowing from the bridge. Police immediately closed Chorala-Chandrapur road.
