चंद्रपूर:- चंद्रपुर शहरातील गणेश विसर्जनाच्या मिरवणुकीत गालबोट लागले असून पोलिसांनी लाठीचार्ज केल्याची घटना उघडकीस आली आहे. जटपूरा गेट जवळ पोहोचताच चंद्रपूरचा राजा गणेश मंडळाचे अध्यक्ष दीपक बेले व सर्व कार्यकर्त्यांनी ठिय्या आंदोलन केले.
9 सप्टेंबर ला दुपारपासूनच शहरात मोठ्या उत्साहात गणेश मिरवणूक काढण्यात आली. या सोहळ्यात हजारो लोक उपस्थित होते. चंद्रपूर शहरात पोलिसांच्या तगड्या बंदोबस्तात श्री गणेश विसर्जन सोहळा सुरू होता मात्र जयंत टॉकीज चौकात चंद्रपूरचा राजा गणेश मंडळ पोहचताच मागे असलेल्या गणेश मंडळाला पोलिसांनी पुढे जाण्यासाठी वाट मोकळी करून दिली असता चंद्रपूर चा राजा गणेश मंडळाच्या कार्यकर्त्यांनी पोलिसांना याबाबत विचारणा केली असता पोलिसांसोबत गणेश भक्तांचा वाद सुरू झाला. त्यानंतर पोलिसांनी चंद्रपूरचा राजा गणेश मंडळातील कार्यकर्ते, गणेश भक्तांवर लाठीचार्ज करण्यास सुरुवात केली. त्याठिकाणी वातावरण बिघडले, मात्र गणेश भक्तांनी संयम बाळगत पुढची वाट धरली व जटपुरा गेट जवळ पोहचताच चंद्रपूरचा राजा गणेश मंडळाचे अध्यक्ष दीपक बेले व सर्व कार्यकर्त्यांनी ठिय्या आंदोलन केले.
जोपर्यंत त्या पोलिसांवर कारवाई होणार नाही तोपर्यंत आम्ही इथून उठणार नाही अशी भूमिका गणेश भक्तांनी घेतली. वातावरण चिघळण्याआधी जिल्हा पोलीस अधीक्षक अरविंद साळवे तात्काळ आंदोलन ठिकाणी दाखल झाले व सर्व गणेश भक्तांना शांतता राखण्याची अपील करीत सर्वांची जाहीर माफी मागितली.
जिल्हा पोलीस अधीक्षकांनी तात्काळ पोलीस कर्मचारी आदेश रामटेके याला निलंबित केले, व घडलेल्या प्रकाराची संपूर्ण चौकशी करण्यासाठी उपविभागीय पोलीस अधिकारी सुशीलकुमार नायक यांच्याकडे जबाबदारी सोपवली.
Chandrapur:- In the Ganesh immersion procession in Chandrapur city, there was a row and an incident of lathi-charge by the police has come to light. As soon as Jatpura Gate was reached, Deepak Bele, President of Raja Ganesh Mandal of Chandrapur and all the workers staged a protest.
A Ganesh procession was taken out in the city from the afternoon of 9th September with great enthusiasm. Thousands of people attended this ceremony. Shri Ganesha Visarjan ceremony was going on in Chandrapur city under heavy security of the police, but as soon as the Raja Ganesh Mandal of Chandrapur reached Jayant Talkies Chowk, the police cleared the way for the Ganesh Mandal which was behind to move forward. After that, the police started lathicharge on the activists of Raja Ganesha Mandal of Chandrapur, Ganesha devotees. The atmosphere deteriorated there, but the Ganesha devotees waited patiently and as soon as they reached the Jatpura Gate, Deepak Bele, president of Raja Ganesh Mandal of Chandrapur and all the workers staged a sit-in protest.
Ganesha devotees took a stand that we will not get up from here until action is taken against those policemen. Before the atmosphere became heated, District Superintendent of Police Arvind Salve immediately entered the protest site and appealed to all Ganesha devotees to maintain peace and publicly apologized to all.
The District Superintendent of Police immediately suspended Superintendent of Police Adesh Ramteke, and assigned Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sushil Kumar Nayak to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
