चंद्रपूर : चंद्रपूर जिल्ह्यातील मोहर्ली वनपरिक्षेत्रात वाघाच्या हल्ल्यात एका युवकाचा मृत्यू झाल्याची दुर्दैवी घटना घडली. मोहर्ली बीटमधील कक्ष क्रमांक १५४ मध्ये दुपारी सुमारे १ वाजता ही घटना घडली. विजय मधुकर मेश्राम (वय अंदाजे २५ वर्षे, रा. जुनोना) असे मृत युवकाचे नाव आहे.
मिळालेल्या माहितीनुसार, विजय मेश्राम हे गुरे चारण्यासाठी जंगल परिसरात गेले होते. त्यावेळी परिसरात दबा धरून असलेल्या वाघाने अचानक त्यांच्यावर हल्ला केला. या हल्ल्यात विजय यांचा घटनास्थळीच मृत्यू झाला.
घटनेची माहिती मिळताच मोहर्लीचे वनपरिक्षेत्र अधिकारी संतोष थिपे, दुर्गापूर पोलीस ठाण्याचे पोलीस निरीक्षक श्री. शेगावकर आणि त्यांचे पथक, मानद वन्यजीव रक्षक मुकेश भांदककर तसेच वन विभागाचे कर्मचारी घटनास्थळी पोहोचले.
पोलिस आणि वन विभागाच्या पथकाने घटनास्थळाची पाहणी करून आवश्यक पंचनामा केला. त्यानंतर मृतदेह शवविच्छेदनासाठी भद्रावती ग्रामीण रुग्णालयात पाठविण्यात आला.
दरम्यान, वन विभागाकडून मृत युवकाची आई निरंजना मधुकर मेश्राम यांना तातडीची आर्थिक मदत घटनास्थळीच देण्यात आली. भविष्यात अशा घटना टाळण्यासाठी संबंधित परिसरात कॅमेरा ट्रॅप बसविण्यात आले असून वाघाच्या हालचालींवर लक्ष ठेवले जात आहे.
या घटनेनंतर जुनोना आणि परिसरातील नागरिकांमध्ये चिंतेचे वातावरण निर्माण झाले आहे. जंगल परिसरात जाणाऱ्या नागरिकांनी विशेष खबरदारी घ्यावी, असे आवाहन वन विभागाकडून करण्यात आले आहे. तसेच नागरिकांमध्ये जनजागृती करण्यासाठी मोहीमही राबविण्यात येत आहे.
घटनेचा पुढील तपास मोहर्ली वनपरिक्षेत्र अधिकारी यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली सुरू आहे.

Chandrapur: 25-Year-Old Man Killed in Tiger Attack in Moharli Forest
Chandrapur: A 25-year-old man was killed in a tiger attack in the Moharli Forest Range of Chandrapur district on Thursday afternoon. The incident took place around 1 p.m. in Compartment No. 154 of the Moharli Beat.
The deceased has been identified as Vijay Madhukar Meshram, approximately 25, a resident of Junona. According to preliminary information, Vijay had entered the forest area to graze cattle when a tiger suddenly attacked him. He died at the spot following the attack.
After receiving information about the incident, forest and police officials immediately reached the location. Moharli Forest Range Officer Santosh Thipe, officials from Durgapur Police Station, Honorary Wildlife Warden Mukesh Bhandarkar, and other forest personnel conducted an inspection of the site.
Following the necessary spot and police panchnama, Vijay's body was sent to the Rural Hospital at Bhadravati for post-mortem examination.
The Forest Department also provided immediate financial assistance to Vijay's mother, Niranjana Madhukar Meshram. As a precautionary measure, camera traps have been installed in the area to monitor the tiger's movements.
The incident has caused concern among residents of Junona and nearby villages. The Forest Department has urged villagers and others visiting forest areas to remain alert and avoid unnecessary movement in areas where tiger activity has been reported.
Further investigation into the incident is underway by the Moharli Forest Range Office.
