चंद्रपूर – गडचिरोलीसह चंद्रपूर जिल्ह्याच्या काही भागात गुरुवारी, ७ ऑगस्ट रोजी दुपारच्या सुमारास विजांच्या कडकडाटासह जोरदार पावसाला सुरुवात झाली. याच दरम्यान चिमूर तालुक्यातील पिंपळनेरी शिवारात गुरे चारत असलेल्या एका शेतकऱ्यावर वीज कोसळून त्याचा मृत्यू झाल्याची दुर्दैवी घटना घडली.
मृत शेतकऱ्याचे नाव गणेश भाऊराव धानोरकर (वय ३२), रा. पिंपळनेरी, ता. चिमूर, जि. चंद्रपूर असे आहे. गुरे चारण्यासाठी शिवारात गेलेल्या गणेशवर दुपारी अचानक वादळी वाऱ्यासह आलेल्या पावसादरम्यान वीज कोसळली. यात त्याचा जागीच मृत्यू झाला.
घटनेची माहिती मिळताच चिमूर पोलीसांनी तात्काळ घटनास्थळी पोहोचून पंचनामा केला. त्यानंतर मृतदेह शवविच्छेदनासाठी उपजिल्हा रुग्णालय, चिमूर येथे पाठवण्यात आला.

Chandrapur: On Thursday, August 7, heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning struck several parts of Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts. During this sudden downpour, a tragic incident occurred in Chimur taluka where a farmer lost his life after being struck by lightning while grazing cattle.
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Bhaurao Dhanorkar, aged 32, a resident of Pimpalneri village in Chimur taluka, Chandrapur district. On Thursday afternoon, Ganesh was grazing cattle in the fields near his village when sudden stormy winds and heavy rain began. Amid the storm, lightning struck him, resulting in his instant death.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the Chimur police promptly reached the spot, conducted a panchnama (official site inspection), and sent the body to the Sub-District Hospital in Chimur for post-mortem examination.
