Tech News: After Twitter, now Instagram has also come under scrutiny. Taking big action, the team of Special Cell of Delhi Police has registered a case against Instagram. For some time now, there have been allegations of religious hysteria and communal atmosphere on Instagram.
According to sources in the Special Cell, no person has been named as an accused in the FIR registered.
This FIR was registered on Tuesday. It also mentions section 153A i.e. creating enmity between each other community against a religious group.
According to sources, after the registration of the case, now the Special Cell team will soon send a notice for questioning and record the statement of the officials associated with the Instagram account, after which appropriate action will be taken in this matter.
It is worth noting that recently, taking a major action against social media Twitter by the central government, its legal protection role was abolished.
Now along with the person concerned for the objectionable post, Twitter will also be responsible for that controversial issue.
Many serious allegations are being made on social media like anti-national activities, spreading religious hysteria, communal tension, creating a tense atmosphere in the society.
Therefore, in view of the seriousness of the matter, especially on the issue related to Twitter, an important meeting is going to be held on June 18.
