Black fungus epidemic declared in Bihar |
Cases of black fungus in corona-affected patients in Bihar are rapidly coming to the fore. Many patients are also dying due to this. At the same time, taking rapid steps in this matter, Bihar's Nitish government has declared Black Fungus an epidemic, according to the information given by Health Minister Mangal Pandey.
Earlier, sources in the health department had said that after getting directions from the central government regarding the black fungus, it can be declared an epidemic under the disaster law.
39 new cases were found on Friday:
On Friday, 39 new cases of black fungus were reported in the state. Of these, eight people had to be hospitalized. Out of a total of 39 cases, 32 reached three hospitals in Patna and seven in a private hospital in Chhapra. Thus, there are 174 symptomatic patients in the state.
On Friday, 30 patients arrived at Patna AIIMS OPD, out of which seven were admitted. A new patient has been admitted to IGIMS. The remaining patients were given medicines and sent home. At the same time, a patient came to the OPD in the private hospital Paras, who was given the medicine and left.
42 patients admitted in Patna AIIMS:
As of Friday, a total of 42 patients have been admitted to Patna AIIMS. Three patients have returned home after recovering from here. A total of 39 patients were treated at IGIMS, of which 12 have been discharged.
On the other hand, seven patients with symptoms of black fungus had gone to a private hospital in Chapra city for treatment.
